Last Tuesday morning, a naked man was found screaming outside Ypsilanti Middle School. A 41 year old Ohio native, he had been in the neighborhood visiting a friend when he picked up hallucinogenic mushrooms. Kneeling on the ground in pain and covered in blood, parts of his genitalia were found nearby. He was found on the school grounds after breaking a window to the school and triggered the burglar alarm, but police reported that nothing was stolen. It took up to six officers to calm him down and transport him to the hospital.
Sargent Geoff Fox, a policeman from the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office, told the news that the man was found in critical condition. “In terms of vital signs, they were as low as they could go without being dead, I could only assume due to the blood loss and the shock and trauma to the body,” he revealed.
The police report that the man has no history of drug use or mental illness, and are looking into the situation. The man was rushed off to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, where he was put in stable condition before being transferred to University of Michigan Health System where he is currently being treated.
